Cyberspace » Currently Listening To...

A THOUSAND TIMES THIS.
Posted by lolmikkel:currently listening to the teaser from the new album by binär, didnt see the dubstep inspired stuff coming, but it seriously kicks ass.
Theory: Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites is from the future. Skrillex was recording samples when he heard this and screamed "YES OH MY GAWD" like a girl, and so sent his track back in time so as to help make dubstep mainstream so as to potentially expand the amount of people who would fall in love with Binärpilot's music from listening to this new album.
[???] OH MEIN GOTT, it is. It's a sample from "German Angry Kid", known as "Echter Gangster 5 - Computer spielen" here in Germany. :P

Kingdom Skies (Milkytracker)

This was one of the first tracker songs that wasn't a video game song, that I used to listen to back in '97. Brings back all the memories.

Hell, I even have the .XM file.

Dissed by Moitah. Good job, Mister. :)

Ho Mein Gott I can't stop fucking laughing at this. Seen the video more than 30 times already
Oops… I did it again.

Definitely too much boredom going on here
I think my love/hate ratios are 1:1 when it comes to that song. I hate myself for listening to it. And that video just made it even better.
Currently listening to this:

Which is also my ringtone, believe it or not.

I can't listen to your 2nd video again, Moitah. Fuck Germany and the GEMA... :P

Damn good. Zedd is actually better than any other artist that released on OWSLA, even better than Porter. :>

Edit: Quite a fucking funny quote from the "original" Composer, Edvard Grieg:

Og så har jeg gjort noe til Dovregubbens hall, som jeg bokstavelig ikke kan tåle å høre på, således klinger det av kukaker, av norsknorskhet og segselvnokhet!

(This post was written several hours ago, but the tab stayed open and didn't send it !)

I never quite liked what Porter does, even when I saw him in LV, his music lacked melodies and song structure at the time.

Today, I listened to the whole Melamin and Wicked Sway's Metamorphosis today while working. Especially "Dance With Me".
Thing is that Zedd is a REAL musician, classically trained. (Something I'd like to be too.) Porter is not, as far as I know.

God I love Grieg - I used to play 3 pieces of him on the piano !
If only I could play the piano a bit better. Learned it for two years a few years ago, but I can't really do it anymore... x)

Classically trained as in he actually studied music at school/university?

Also, Skrillex will never sound the same...

Nothing. I'm at the university and I did not bring my ipod. No further distractions needed since I got an exam next Monday.
about 18 hours later…
Tjaere For Alltid on my CD of Nordland in my new slim portable CD player in my pocket. (These shorts have mildly overized pockets).

People's Instinctive Travels and the Paths of Rhythm

just saw the new Quest documentary Beats, Rhymes & Life, so i had to hear some stuff I've actually never heard by them. What a group.
about 21 hours later…
who also loves the new Die Antwoord track?!
Weirder and weirder …
about 13 hours later…
Turrican remix by Bacalao. The influence behind some of the tracks from Robot Wars, I assume?

Blessed Relief by Frank Zappa

It's my first time listening to "The Grand Wazoo", and I have to say it's an amazing album.

I knew it was only a matter of time before my Uke vid ended up here...

Anyways, I just finished performing at a concert with the local philharmonic orchestra which just does a charity concert this time every year. I am about to remix this:

"Sadly, this video which contains music by SME, is not available in Germany. The GEMA has not granted the rights of publishing here."

It's Radetzky March by Johann Strauss.

Lately I've been listening a lot to Black Sheep's A Wolf in Sheep's Clothing, just now Flavor Of The Month. But hell, what an album.
TEHLIRIAN!
WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

You may want to introduce yourself in the "Who are you?" thread.

So, I was listening to The Beatles but now I've switched to Armenian music apparently.

Back to the river Aras!
Well, now I need to listen to System of a Down. I haven't listened to them in so long. They used to be my favorite band from back when I was in 5th grade I think. Them and Rammstein. I still like both bands but I don't listen to them nearly as often.
I love SOAD so much. wanna see them live.
They really suck big fat balls live, from what I've seen. (and I love their albums too)

So I went to the movies the other day, and in the shopping mall there was this electronic entertainment store, so I went in browsing the Dance/Electronica CD's and found Ladytron. Seen as about half my Ladytron collection is pirated (and 3/4 of the rest is from iTunes) I decided to buy Witching Hour. Currently listening to it in my awesome room and the song is Weekend.

I'm a bit of a sucker for physical CD's.

Protip: don't start buying LPs. It's like the crack cocaine of records.
Vinyl? Yea, they look nice, but I'll stick with my portable "CD wallet/walkman" combo.
Just my way, Exaro. I think it's quite fair, first I get music from collections from friends or on Grooveshark, and if I like it a lot, I usually buy the albums afterwards, not giving anything new to myself but at least a bit back to the artist (as probably the bigger part of it goes to the record companies, in many cases..?). If I don't like it, fine. Then I won't buy the CD, won't listen to it again, and won't recommend or give it to any of my friends. No harm done to anyone, even if record companies would say I have.

Same, but I usually don't have the money to buy CD's. However I've been saving change from going to the movies (which my parents fund) and going busking so as I can buy people Christmas presents.

Not sure if Misslittlemissy was answering my drawing riddle, or just saying what she was listening to--but it's the right answer.

All of this: http://bit.ly/bKUngU

I got this for Christmas http://www.teufel.de/en/pc/concept-c-200-usb-p231.html, and all my music now feels like a whole new dimension. :D
Bought myself a copy of Art vs. Science's debut "The Experiment." Pretty good stuff.

Bend (Bounce Mix). Now I've heard the above posted song as well, and I've gotta say that was a cool music video.

I understand, it's a 30 second project, but like Alstad 5734 it's just catchy enough that there just needs to be more.
