Does it exist somewhere?

You can generally get much better sound quality from ogg than from similarly sized mp3.

-Ido.
Not at the moment, no.
May I ask why not?

If it's because of technical issues i'd be glad to help encode the original lossless recordings in ogg (converting from mp3 to ogg is not a good idea since they are both lossy formats).

It's really not difficult, just requires a bunch of processing time.

-Ido.
Yeah it takes time, and lets not forget the size of the files would increase, right?
No, it would probably decrease in size while the quality would improve a bit! That's my point, ogg vorbis win-win, it's a more advanced format than mp3.

With regards to time, I'm willing to contribute as much of my time to help as you need - I really wouldn't need anything more than the original FLACs or whatever they were and I'll send back ready made Oggs.

-Ido.
Until iTunes reads Ogg out-of-the-box, I guess you won't find enough customers for the Ogg versions... because of the market volume of iPods/iPhones.

But it's nice that you offer to do it, why not.
On my flash drive, I've got'em all in Ogg Vorbis, and there's no quality loss from the MP3, a check in Audacity doesn't show any volume changes, clipping, or anything. I don't think you'd need FLAC or WAV for same-quality conversion, unless you want a drastically lower bitrate for the OGG than the MP3.

I can't check the bitrates for the OGG files (damn you Microsoft, the codecs are FREE! FREE I SAY!), but the MP3s are 192KB/s, but there's a total difference between the MP3 directory, and the Ogg directory I have of around 57 MB (MP3s coming in at 258, and OGG coming in at around 201) using BonkEnc.

The albums through Jamendo should be available through OGG Vorbis. As for the rest of my tracks, I do not have raw versions of everything (to conserve disk space). Bouncing everything is quite the undertaking. For future releases, sure, but for pre-Defrag tracks; It's probably not going to happen. At least not in any "official" capacity.
