Yeah, you read it! It's time to discuss what tracks/segments fit as ringtones for your cellphone.

Personally I like Otosclerosis from 00:39 to 01:05. Though it'd be more awesome if you could just have the simple background beat along with the high pitched thing (no, I do not know shit about music terminology).

The dangerous thing about the ringtone-game, is that if you overuse a song, you get tired of hearing it when your partying or dancing. I used "daft_punk_-_aerodynamic_(binaerpilot_music_was_my_homework_mix).mp3" for a while on my old cell, and every time I heard it on the stereo, I reached for my cell :/

Any good ideas?

I always get tired of hearing whatever I use as a ringtone, so I haven't had a slice of music as my ringtone for quite some time.

My previous three ringtones:

- Currently I have a harddisk crash sound from http://datacent.com/hard_drive_sounds.php.
- On my previous cellphone I used a 56k modem handshake as ringtone.
- Before that I used this, which is a parody of dutch ringtone tv-commercials popular at the time. (I had the actual ringtone, it was made by friends of mine).

Maybe I'll upload some at lulu if there's interest.

Apart from Binärpilot, "goto80 - Killer Piller (Dubmood Atari-Remix)" is also a good choice imho. Although it'd destroy the beauty of the song...

I'd be interested if it was only a ringtone, not a whole song. Something unique is always to prefer, since it'll whip the shit out of all standard Nokia-tunes people use.

My idea: Robotic voice saying "The telephone is ringing" (or similar) in a loop while the beat builds up in the background. Very Around the World-ish :)

Can't be too intrusive, nor too loud though. But that, I'd buy for sure.
