Hey Binary Lifeforms
I don't really know much about digital cam's ,just that EOS Cam's (Spiegelreflex on german) are too expensive
and that i don't want to buy a crapy thing
So which MegaPixel Range is good for high quality Photos ?
Around 8Megeapixel?
so you know some good brands or some models?
please let me know your informations :=)

Megapixels don't really matter, 4 megapixels should be enough to do A4 sized prints in decent quality. What you want is a camera with good optics and a good image sensor.
For compact cameras, I like the Canon Ixus series.

The elektronaut: What would you recommend for someone who ain't (and won't ever be) a photographer, and just want to take pictures occasionally? And it must be a small camera, since I hate walking around with the digital SLR I got now...which I can't use properly (I mean, even the crew from Star Trek TOS would be shocked) anyways...
in Ireland the sold for 2 Bugs a Digicam Res:640x480 but only big as an Credit card
maybe they're still produced somewhere
